Online CBT therapy – how I work and what to expect

If you're wondering what therapy with me looks like, this page is for you. I work in a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approach, but my method goes beyond classical CBT – I also use tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy. All sessions are conducted online, allowing me to work with people from across Poland and abroad.

What is CBT therapy?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is based on the idea that the way we interpret different situations influences our emotions and behavior. In CBT, we learn to understand how these elements interact with one another and how we can influence them in order to break unhelpful patterns of functioning and build a more satisfying, fulfilling life.

CBT is one of the most well-researched methods of psychotherapy. It's structured, goal-oriented, and provides concrete tools you can use in daily life. At the same time, it's flexible – I adapt the approach to your individual needs.

What do online sessions look like?

Sessions take place via a secure video platform and last 50 minutes. Between meetings, you may receive tasks to complete – this is an important part of therapy because real change happens in your daily life, not just during sessions. Research confirms that online therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions, with the added benefit of convenience – you don't have to travel anywhere.

My approach

I don't work 'by the book' – every person is different and needs an individual approach. Besides classical CBT, I use ACT (working with acceptance and values), DBT (emotion regulation, coping skills), and Schema Therapy (deep patterns from childhood). This allows me to respond flexibly to what you need – sometimes we work on specific thoughts and behaviors, and sometimes we dig deeper into patterns that formed over years.
